WeGanda is a multifunctional self-organised empowerment and innovation centre for, with and by all Women and Girls in Uganda . The centre aims to support Women to face and deal with their daily life challenges as well as to get support and expertise to develop their own SME’s and increase their chances for EMPLOYMENT. Our approach is based on open collaboration and participation to foster Co-creation and togetherness. WeGanda offers Women and Child-friendly spaces not only for women but also their families and communities.

Stella is a certified lobbyist from the Advocacy Academy Sweden, A social business consultant and mentor. She has mentored social businesses that have not only won Tonny Elumelu Foundation award but have been recognised globally for their contribution to empower and benefit local communities. She is a social innovator that developed 100 % drinking straw as an alternative to single use plastic. She is the co-founder of Outroots Africa Ltd.

Insaf Ben Othmane H.

Founder of Ecumene Studio

Insaf is an architect and urban development strategist. Her main research interests revolve around architecture, the dynamics of urban transformations and development of urban policies around the world and especially in the south. Working over seven years in the area of community development, urban governance and strategic planning in Egypt and Tunisia led her to initiate several projects "Urban catalyst' in partnership with local communities and various stakeholders and organisations and institutions in search of real and effective solution to urban challenges of this century.
